“Most” is a Yugoslav war film directed by Hajrudin Krvavac in 1969, known as one of the most popular achievements of the partisan genre. In his film, Krvavac thematically relied on his previous black-and-white film “Diverzanti,” but also on Hollywood and other Western war films, primarily “The Guns of Navarone,” as well as Westerns.
The plot mostly focused on action with little or no political and propaganda context; nevertheless, the screenplay created a series of vivid and memorable characters, especially those portrayed by Boris Dvornik and Relja Bašić.
Three years later, based on “Most,” Krvavac would create his most successful and famous film, “Walter Defends Sarajevo.”
